video. | action for violet.
[welp, when the video flickers on, you get a Fuji. and this time, even those that wouldn't know him particularly well can see that he is in a terrific mood. tired, but still very much happy. (protip: his younger brother's arrival may or may not have happened this week, though surely that has nothing to do with it--)
there is a Raichu in his lap, and he is fiddling with the pokemon's ears. every once in a while, the Raichu makes a grumping sort of sound, but remains obediently seated, tail swishing to the side.
when he speaks, it's thoughtful.]
He's got sort of a button nose, doesn't he? [he pokes at the Raichu's nose, as if to demonstrate, and the pokemon twitches, making a huffy sort of sound.] I've heard that the way the nose is shaped affects how nicely a pair of glasses can sit over it, really, but I don't think I've ever had much first-hand experience with it. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
[but if facial-shape is hereditary, does it mean that his own facial shape might be suited for glasses? he doesn't like to think about it. a look of consideration--] But with the way his Thunder falls, I think I could justify Berlin here getting a pair. Maybe he'll look less grouchy with a pair of Raichu-sized glasses.
[the Raichu evidently disagrees, making a noise of disapproval. Fuji only laughs.]
Ah, by the way--
[and here, he pulls a glass of water on-screen.
the water touches the half-way mark, innocuous. Fuji peers into the screen, thoughtful.]
Well? Half-full, or half-empty?

it's wrapped, puffed, and there are two neat knots tied in where the twist-tie usually sits. he sets that down on the paper as well, next to the candy, and laughs, just a little.]
video;
Who knew you were hidin' that kinda talent? [ And with a smirk and a cock of an eyebrow: ] You're gonna make someone happy with that tongue someday.
video;
You know, I heard there was a woman out there who could make it into a crane.
video;
Damn. You'll have to introduce us if you ever meet her.
video;
Oh? Who says I wouldn't keep her for myself?
video;
[ He cocks his head again, curious and watching the edge of the screen. ]
Would you even know what to do with a girl like that?
video;
Why, do you?
video;
Ask your sister.
video;
I'd rather not. I might end up having to pass along her opinions on your proficiency, and I'm not sure if you could take it.

conversationally--]
You know, a white lily can mean modesty.
video;
They remind me of Yagyuu.
video;
'I like not lady-slippers,
Not yet the sweet-pea blossoms,
Not yet the flaky roses,
Red or white as snow;
I like the chaliced lilies,
The heavy Eastern lilies,
The gorgeous tiger-lilies,
That in our garden grow.'
video;
You've got so many words in that pretty head of yours. I wonder how you do it.
video;
Maybe Yagyuu's a tiger-lily.
video;
[ Two can play at that game. ]

A hybrid lily... [a pause, here, in consideration] It can pretty much mean anything you want it to, really.
