[welp, when the video flickers on, you get a Fuji. and this time, even those that wouldn't know him particularly well can see that he is in a terrific mood. tired, but still very much happy. (protip: his younger brother's arrival may or may not have happened this week, though surely that has nothing to do with it--)

there is a Raichu in his lap, and he is fiddling with the pokemon's ears. every once in a while, the Raichu makes a grumping sort of sound, but remains obediently seated, tail swishing to the side.

when he speaks, it's thoughtful.]

He's got sort of a button nose, doesn't he? [he pokes at the Raichu's nose, as if to demonstrate, and the pokemon twitches, making a huffy sort of sound.] I've heard that the way the nose is shaped affects how nicely a pair of glasses can sit over it, really, but I don't think I've ever had much first-hand experience with it. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

[but if facial-shape is hereditary, does it mean that his own facial shape might be suited for glasses? he doesn't like to think about it. a look of consideration--] But with the way his Thunder falls, I think I could justify Berlin here getting a pair. Maybe he'll look less grouchy with a pair of Raichu-sized glasses.

[the Raichu evidently disagrees, making a noise of disapproval. Fuji only laughs.]

Ah, by the way--

[and here, he pulls a glass of water on-screen.

the water touches the half-way mark, innocuous. Fuji peers into the screen, thoughtful.]

Well? Half-full, or half-empty?

Depends on how you look at how much is in there, really.

Well, not knowing anything else, I'd rather think of it as half full. But I guess if you were hoping to empty it, then it should probably be the other way...

It's not like I've ever tried growing any or anything. But flowers are nice.

Maybe I should. I've been thinking, a little, about maybe getting Rose a plant of some kind to take care of.

[identity profile] alpha_stigma.livejournal.com 2011-07-06 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe. Do they sell small rose bushes like that?

Wouldn't be surprised by that. There are Pokémon like just about everything, it seems.

I just don't want to get something too big, you know? Traveling while bringing around a big plant would be kind of troublesome to deal with.

Ah, I'd love to meet a mattress-like Pokémon! A good friend to accompany you when you're awake, a warm, cozy bed for when you want to sleep... What more could someone ask for?

...But, um... yeah. I think I will ask around about it. Couldn't hurt, anyway.

[identity profile] alpha_stigma.livejournal.com 2011-07-09 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I wouldn't really mind even if it didn't have its own bedsheets, myself, but that would be really nice... I wonder where something like it would live.

Er... I don't really know if I'd put it that way, myself...

[identity profile] alpha_stigma.livejournal.com 2011-07-10 06:23 am (UTC)(link)
Sounds about right. They'd probably only stay in a house if they liked the people who lived there, though.

...Haa, if you want to think so.

[identity profile] alpha_stigma.livejournal.com 2011-07-14 06:43 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, definitely. If you didn't take care of it, it would fly away because it didn't like you anymore, and then you'd lose both your friend and your bed. [He considers.] Haa... it would be a lot of work, really...

[identity profile] alpha_stigma.livejournal.com 2011-07-15 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
Well yeah, there's not a lot that wouldn't be worth the effort, if it meant that I'd be able to take a great nap afterward and no one would try to interrupt it.

Um... not sure why I'd want to write a book though.

[identity profile] alpha_stigma.livejournal.com 2011-07-15 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe it will. Or at least, I wouldn't say it'd be impossible.
